Subject Tutoring

NEED HELP IN MATH, SCIENCE, OR OTHER SUBJECTS?

Whether you have a 7th grader struggling with pre-algebra or a 12th grader shooting for an A in AP chemistry, Huntington can help. Our experienced tutors work one-to-one to ensure that each child achieves his or her academic goals.

Who can benefit from subject tutoring?

Subject Tutoring is supplemental learning for a specific subject. Typically, the students in the following situations can benefit from subject tutoring:

  • Students who have just begun having difficulty with, for example, algebra or chemistry, but who were doing well until this point.

  • Students who want to maintain their grade, but are concerned that, without extra help, they will fall behind.

  • Students who want to improve a letter grade, from example from a "B" to an "A" or from a "C" to a "B".

  • Students who need the reinforcement that a tutor can provide.

  • Students who need homework help.

What do we offer?

  • We conduct all tutoring in our professional offices on a one-to-one basis with a professional tutor who is either state certified or Huntington certified.

  • We meet with parents at regular intervals to discuss progress and set goals.

  • If you wish, we will visit your child's school to discuss the progress he or she is making at Huntington and to learn what the school's expectations are.
